A collection “shot” of a Great Chefs DVD collection for sale.

Casting lighting and proper shadows in order to create the pristine surfaces and make it look authentic is one of the great challenges to making something from 3D seem “real”.

Another set up for a DVD catalogue. Generating many product displays for a similar product like DVDs, T-shirts, or any product that needs photographing, can be replicated in 3D with more efficiency.

Ben Steeves “Anubis” Card

This was a lot of fun to do. I really liked the chosen color scheme for Anubis, and the characterization was amusing. It was great creating mist effects with complimenting colors for the background and do more subtle textures.

Great Chefs DVD

Here’s a sample of 3D work done to replicate photographed products. For the catalogues that demanded a lot of DVDs be showcased, this was ideal to do.

It’s easy and cost effective to set up something like this for your websites store or catalogue, and it can be far less time consuming too.

Here is the painted rendition of Ben Steeves comic character “Zom-Ben”

I’m quite happy with how the colors balanced out and I got some good textures put down on this. Created a couple of my own brushes to achieve some of the effects too.
